Showroom Salesman Tries To Kick Out An Elderly Visitor In Ragged Clothes

  • 3 min read

A Visitor Steps Through The Glass Doors

An elderly man pushed both palms against the heavy glass entrance doors, shuffling forward onto the polished white tiles of the showroom floor.

His grey jacket hung loosely over his frame, frayed threads trailing from tears across both shoulders and the hem.

A wide tear exposed his knee above worn, dust-caked work shoes that squeaked slightly against the gleaming surface.

A few yards away, an attendant in a tailored black suit and silk tie straightened his cuffs and locked eyes on the newcomer.

The salesman planted his hands on his hips, throwing his head back with a loud, mocking laugh.

He stepped directly into the older man’s path, blocking the walkway between rows of silver and black luxury sedans.

The salesman smirked, gesturing toward the logo mounted on the wall behind him while reminding the man that this was a private showroom, not a collection center.

The older man held his ground, his hands resting loose at his sides as he looked at the younger man’s face.

Words Exchanged Beside The Polished Sedans

The older man spoke quietly, explaining that he had only walked inside to view the automobiles on display.

The salesman leaned his back against the glossy fender of a parked black coupe, crossing his arms over his chest.

He tilted his chin upward, insisting that the visitor could not afford a single screw in the building and demanded he stop wasting dealership time.

The older man kept his posture upright, suggesting that judging someone by the state of their clothing was an unwise choice.

The salesman pushed himself off the vehicle, his eyebrows drawing tight as his voice rose across the showroom floor.

He pointed a stiff finger toward the automatic exit doors, shouting for the older man to get out immediately.

Other staff members and customers paused near the desks in the background, turning their heads toward the commotion.

A Brief Call On The Showroom Floor

Instead of turning toward the exit, the older man reached deep into the tattered right pocket of his trousers.

He pulled out a slim, high-end smartphone and tapped the glass screen with his thumb.

He brought the handset to his ear while the salesman watched him with an impatient grin.

Speaking directly into the microphone, the older man gave a short instruction to cancel the salesman’s employment contract on the spot.

The salesman blinked, his grin dropping as he demanded to know who was speaking on the line.

The older man lowered the phone slightly and stated that he owned the entire dealership.

The younger man’s mouth parted, his eyes widening as he shifted his weight backward on his heels.

The Inspection Begins

Before the salesman could manage another word, rapid footsteps echoed across the showroom floor.

A general manager wearing a navy blue suit hurried up to the older man, placing both hands respectfully at his sides with a slight bow.

The manager greeted him warmly, announcing that every department was prepped and ready for his scheduled walkthrough.

The salesman swallowed hard, lowering his chin toward his chest as his gaze fixed on the white floor tiles.

The older man turned his eyes back to the trembling employee, watching him pull his hands together at his waist while the manager waited by his side.
