Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, has died at 27, his family has confirmed.
Presley Gerber, the son of model Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, died at age 27. A spokesperson confirmed the news to his mother, Cindy Crawford, his father, Rande Gerber, and his sister, Kaia Gerber.
In a statement to TMZ, the family said they are “asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
Presley died on Sunday, September 20, at a rehabilitation facility, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
An official cause of death has not yet been determined, and an autopsy is still pending. Born on July 2, 1999, Presley Walker Gerber was the only son of Cindy and Rande and grew up in the spotlight alongside his younger sister, Kaia.
Like his famous mother, Presley pursued a career in modeling. He began working in the fashion industry as a teenager and walked the runway for major designers, including Moschino, while also appearing in campaigns for well-known brands.
However, in recent years, Presley has also spoken openly about struggles in his personal life. He had discussed his mental health, depression, substance abuse, and recovery, using his social media platforms to talk about the difficulties he had faced.

In a 2025 Instagram video, Presley said he wanted to surround himself with positive influences and hoped opening up about his experiences could help others feel less alone. Also, he said his mental health struggles are “really bad.”
I feel like honesty is the best policy,” the 26-year-old model, whom Crawford shares with husband Rande Gerber, said in the clip posted to Instagram in December 2025.
“The benzos have been fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life. Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now.”
He added, “I don’t know if it’s a little bit or a lot, who f—ing knows at this point anymore.”
In August earlier this year, his sister, Kaia Gerber, spoke publicly about her brother’s struggles, saying he had been battling a “decade-long struggle with drug addiction.”
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” Kaia told Vogue. “I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”

Kaia described Presley as someone who had become very open about what he was going through and said she was deeply proud of him. Despite his struggles, Presley remained close to his family.
As recently as May this year, he was photographed with his parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, and his sister, Kaia.
Presley was 27.
