Salesman Tries To Remove Older Customer From High End Showroom

  • 3 min read

A Push Toward the Exit

A dealership salesman grabbed an older man by the arm and shoved him backward across the polished showroom floor.

The older man wore a faded, frayed work jacket and worn brown shoes. His gray beard framed a steady face that did not flinch when the younger man stepped into his personal space.

The salesman gestured toward the glass double doors with an outstretched arm. He barked that the luxury sedan behind them was out of reach and ordered the visitor off the property.

The older visitor stayed where he stood. He stated clearly that he came through the front doors to purchase the black Mercedes resting on the tiles.

A short bark of laughter came from the salesman’s throat. He reached down, slapped a glossy vehicle brochure out of the older man’s grasp, and watched it flutter to the white tile.

Refusing to Step Back

The older man bent down, picked up the paper, and stood back up to full height. His hands rested quietly at his sides while the salesman continued to raise his voice.

He told the salesman quietly that one should never underestimate a stranger based on what they wear. His fingers gripped the corner of the brochure as he held his ground.

The salesman smirked and folded his arms across his chest. He prepared to signal security to physically escort the visitor out into the parking lot.

Footsteps echoed across the open glass pavilion before he could speak another word. A second employee dressed in a sharp navy suit hurried over from the executive offices on the upper tier.

The salesman stepped forward to explain the situation, pointing at the older visitor’s torn jacket.

The Manager Steps In

The man in the blue suit walked directly past the salesman and offered his hand to the visitor with a respectful nod. He addressed the older man directly as Mr. Samuel.

The salesman’s mouth dropped open slightly as his colleague turned toward him. The manager asked why the salesman was blocking the path of the man who held the deed to the entire business.

The salesman took a step back, his shoulders slumping as his arms fell limply to his sides.

Mr. Samuel reached into the inner pocket of his worn coat. He pulled out a dark leather wallet and extracted a payment card, handing it directly to the manager beside him.

He pointed once toward the black sedan parked directly beneath the overhead lights and stated he would take that specific model immediately.

Driving Out the Showroom Doors

Mr. Samuel opened the driver’s side door of the luxury car and sat down behind the steering wheel. He closed the heavy door with a solid latch.

His hand reached toward the dashboard and pressed the silver ignition button. The engine turned over and settled into a low, even hum across the tiled room.

The salesman stood rigid near the front fender, eyes fixed on the man in the driver’s seat.

Mr. Samuel rolled down the tinted window and paused just long enough to glance back at the salesman standing by the tire.

He engaged the gear selector, pressed the accelerator, and steered the vehicle through the open glass sliding doors and out toward the sunlit street.

Send this to someone who always stands their ground when dismissed.
